LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA--(Marketwire - May 23, 2012) - ProExecs -
After 6 months of slight improvement, the Leading Economic Index (LEI) fell by .1 percent in April, proving that the dramatic turn-around weve all hoped for is still a long way off. Many business owners believe that the U.S. struggle for economic growth automatically signals hard times for their business. But according to business advisors, ProExecs, it is possible to succeed in a tough economy if you have the correct strategy, and its correctly executed.
When the economy takes a downturn, the strategy that initially grew the company might have to change. The new strategy has to accommodate the fact that consumers, or B to B clients, are less willing or able to part with their money. Many business owners are capable of formulating a correct strategy to deal with this change, but, often, their strategy fails. When that happens, they dont have a clue what to do, said Lisa Terrenzi, Co-Founder and CEO of ProExecs. Thats where business advisors can help.
With what little progress the unemployment rate has made being attributed primarily to the construction industry or the fact that people have given up trying to find jobs at all, and with thousands of businesses closing down completely, laying people off or closing branches, its obvious that executives who can get their strategy executed are few and far between.
ProExecs business strategy consultants specialize in helping executives bring their strategy home.
Its one thing to have a strategy, communicate it to your staff, and apparently get them on board. But its quite another to make sure that each executive and staff member thoroughly and correctly executes each part of the strategy that applies to them, Terrenzi said.
Generally speaking, most execs and staff want to do whats required. But being able to create a step-by-step plan that aligns with the strategy, incorporate those steps into your daily duties, coordinate the activities with other execs and staff, and overcome any difficulties you run into along the way is a skill set in itself, explained Terrenzi. No matter how good someone is at their job, they often dont have this skill set. Unfortunately, that includes execs, and its a pivotal part of leadership. As business strategy consultants, we turn this sort of thing around every day.
